The CareMat B is a pressure-sensitive sensor mat designed to assist with monitoring when getting out of bed and preventing falls. Placed in front of the bed, it detects when a care recipient steps onto the mat. CareSens combines the advantages of a contact mat with those of a motion sensor in a single product. This intelligent bed exit solution helps care staff to detect movements near the bed and enables targeted alerting.

The sensor is positioned at the side of the bed and paired with the appropriate VARIOREC® receiver. Using a handy foot switch, care staff can activate or deactivate the CareSens without triggering an alarm. This allows the sensor to be temporarily deactivated, for example whilst providing direct care at the bedside, and then reactivated afterwards.

A red strip provides a visual indication of the activation status. The flat design and non-slip underside also ensure stable positioning.
